Marriage is not something that just happens; it is intentional and has within it, design and purpose. One of the missing keys to success in marriage is the lack of understanding that marriage is organic. Marriage by design is alive and will either thrive or experience death.
Most would agree that they would choose a thriving marriage over one that is dead and if that is you, then you must allow perspective to bring liberation and not a limitation with the understanding that perspective comes from design and purpose. So what is this different perspective? This perspective is one that goes beyond the linear; the day to day experiences that make up your marriage and ask you to look at marriage from an aerial perspective.
We so often get caught up in the events of everyday life that we don’t take the time to see where we are, where we are going, to strategize, plan, set goals and celebrate the accomplishments. It is in this linear perspective our growth becomes limited and sometimes worse, death. Marriage will become what you allow it to become. If you set out on a trip to nowhere, you will end up in Nowhere. Interesting concept don’t you think? It should be the goal for every married couple to have a marriage of purpose born out of perspective that is alive and thriving. You must take the time to view your marriage beyond the dot to dot or experience to experience of everyday life and to see the great masterpiece that is being created as you live life with intention and purpose.
The great news is that you can start no matter where you are now. The purpose and design, the intention of Marriage is a husband and wife interacting directly and simultaneously to achieve the objective of unity in mind, body, and spirit to do life together. To achieve this you must strategize, plan, set goals and as you are looking from this different perspective celebrate your accomplishments together.

The key to fulfilling design and purpose is to intentionally accept and commit with resolve to fulfilling what your marriage is intended to be. It will take time, work, commitment, tears, joy, communication, love, and laughter. If you commit to being intentional about your marriage, the rewards that you experience will extend beyond your generation.
