Distinction carries with it the idea that something is distinguished by the mind or eye as being different from others. In the book of Mark, it tells us, “And these signs shall follow those who believe…” This is a life of distinction; standing out in the crowd. Signs are what distinguish a disciple from others. The word of God gives some signs that someone is a disciple and their life is marked by distinction:
- Known by His love – John 13:34-35
- Will be a witness to the world – Acts 1:8
- Maintains fellowship with others – Acts 2:42
- See’s Jesus as Christ and Lord – Acts 2:36
- Fruitful – John 15:8
