Cheryl’s Story

She was born in Rancho Cordova California and grew up in Southern California.  She began serving in the church as a child working alongside her parents as they helped plant a church and later were involved in several other ministries within the church.  As a teenager, Cheryl served in leadership roles in her church youth ministries, where she found a love for missions and for helping others fulfill their calling in ministry.

While living in Virginia with their son, during her husband’s tour in the Army, they were introduced to home education. They knew that this was what the Lord required for their family; Cheryl would spend the next 16 years home educating their five children.  She served in her community as a soccer mom, coach, and board member for many years, while still serving with her family in the local church.

Over the years Cheryl has worked as a detailed oriented manager who has led multiple teams in high paced environments as a Lead Financial Counselor at a debt management company, Administrative Assistant for the State of Idaho, and an Admin for a local church. She has written and implemented office policies, trained dozens of new employees, maintained office schedules, and led a customer service team for both east and west coast customers.

She has served in the local church for over 25 years. Cheryl has ministered in Children’s Programs and served as Volunteer Coordinator where she has successfully managed the large volunteer needs of a church by recruiting, scheduling, training, and encouraging teams.  Alongside her husband, she has pastored several Youth Groups, successfully led teams as Life Group Pastors, and was part of the eldership team of a church that she and her family helped plant in 2005.

Terry and Cheryl have been married for 30 years and live in Washington, and have raised their 5 children (ages 21 yrs. to 30 yrs. old) who all serve in many roles in the local church to include: lights & sound, youth ministries, kids programs, and worship teams.  They are very proud parents.
